This is my newest painting and my first image created from my trip to Ireland in 2017. I’m looking forward to creating more paintings from this beautiful adventure in the coming year.
During September and October 2016 I am displaying several paintings in the lobby of the wonderfully creative Above and Beyond Children’s Musuem in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. If you are downtown, stop by and enjoy… and also enjoy the great variety of interact learning experiences for children and those who continue to be children in heart.
I am displaying 7 paintings at the Final Friday, January 29, 2016, opening of the Sheboygan Visual Artists, EBCO ArtWorks, Erie Avenue, Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
These are paintings that I have created “en plein air” as the French call it. That is, they are paintings which I created substantially while working outdoors in the actual environment that I was attempting to interpret.
Here is one of the “plein air” paintings which I am displaying–and is for sale: “Summer in Sheboygan” 2015, 11×14, oil on board, framed.

Sorry that I haven’t updated my website in a long while. I’ve been busy with quite a few creative projects over the past months. First, I’ve been acting as “content developer and artist” for the website, http://www.missionalnetworking.org. This has been a wonderful opportunity to witness the many ways the people and groups are “loving their neighbors” and in doing so, doing good in their neighborhoods. It is a joy to pass on these stories on the website.
In addition, I’ve been designing graphics for several groups. Below is a graphic I designed for the American Baptist Churches of Wisconsin:
Beyond these creative opportunities, I’ve also begun several paintings… but for the moment painting seems to be taking a backseat to these other projects. But stay tuned, I’ll update you on my latest paintings from the past year…
All are welcome to enjoy the Open Reception of the “Endangered Spaces, Historic Places” exhibit of the Water’s Edge Artists. With 70 pieces of art, this exhibit explores the groups mission to protect and promote endangered environments and places. The reception will include live music, light refreshments and meeting the artists. I myself am featuring 3 paintings, including “Endangered Home,” 2014 16 x16, oil on canvas, imaged below.
This past Friday, I was one of several featured artists at the Sheboygan Visual Artist’s February 2014 Final Friday: “Painters and Players Celebrate Sheboygan.” At the event, and during the next few weeks in March, six of my paintings with subjects from within Sheboygan are on display and for sale.
Here I am standing near the paintings:

Mark your calendar to enjoy a unique evening at EBCO ArtWorks, 1201 Erie Avenue, Sheboygan, Wisconsin. I will be one of the featured artists for the night of “Painters & Players Celebrate Sheboygan!” I’ll be displaying several paintings that truly do “Celebrate Sheboygan.” I hope you’ll join the celebration!
You are welcome to enjoy the Artists’ Reception and Talks on Thursday, January 30, 6-8pm. The artists, myself and the photographer, Tom Dent, will briefly talk about our art at 7.00pm. This event will be at the restaurant, Latitude 43, which is part of the Blue Harbor Resort complex. Latitude 43 is located at 725 Blue Harbor Drive in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
I currently have eight paintings displayed throughout the restaurant, sharing wall space with Tom Dent’s beautiful photography.
If you are in the area, you are most welcome to join us!
