Today I spent some hours working on a commissioned painting of a homeless man warming up in a diner with a cup of coffee. For me it is a way to express my spirituality… painting a human made homeless by our inhumanity… remembering the homeless Humanity of God in the death of Jesus upon the cross.
All are welcome to enjoy the Open Reception of the “Endangered Spaces, Historic Places” exhibit of the Water’s Edge Artists. With 70 pieces of art, this exhibit explores the groups mission to protect and promote endangered environments and places. The reception will include live music, light refreshments and meeting the artists. I myself am featuring 3 paintings, including “Endangered Home,” 2014 16 x16, oil on canvas, imaged below.
